A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids, Hmm Synopsis is Interesting and the movie was successful in carrying out the idea in the Synopsis. The movie is Different in its making, the script is Interesting, the events and the scenes at times are Disturbing, the plot points are thrilling and the whole scenerio is Haunting. The Film revolves around everything in between, makes you think according to the current family situations and relations between the families and also the indulgence of Digital mediums into the mix, An event like in the movie might happen in the near future, hmm It surely makes you wonder.
The Film showcases a Sleek editing and cinematography with a equally appreciative Direction, The performance of Nicholas Cage is applausable and Selma Blair is haunting, which is good. But there is always a 'but' The ending of the film seems a bit flat when compared with the First and the second Act. The film revel in the black comedy and social satire while also giving emotional weight to the parents' resentment, toward the kids and each other. If it doesn't entirely exploit the potency of its metaphor, there's still a certain grim fun in seeing Taylor give "family feud" an outrageous new meaning. It will do just fine as an impulsive, late-night, on-demand rent. Even if it's not quite worth two movie tickets and a baby sitter.
I'm sure one would think that they already know how they're going to feel about Mom and Dad. But it's better than that, and in ways that you all really must experience for yourself.
I Would give the movie a 4/5 rating. #MomandDad #Movie #Blogging
